ESI Registration.

Any factory or an establishment notified by the cental government, which employs 10 or more (20 in some states) employees has to register under the ESI Act, 1948. Employer has to calculate the ESI for the employees drawing wage of Rs. 15,000/- or below in a month. The contributon rates were reduced with effect from 01.07.2019 and as per this, the employer has to deduct 0.75% of basic salary + DA of employee and employer has to pay 3.25% of basic salary+DA of employee to ESI department. Employees in receipt of a daily average wage upto Rs. 137/- are exempted from payment of contribution.

  1. If there are more than one office, then for each office an extra amount of Rs. 3,000/- will be incurred.
  2. If the company is registered by NRI directors, then an additional amount of Rs. 10,000/- will be incurred.
  3. Certain establishments like manpowr suppliers, security gaurds, contract labour supplers have to pay 6 months contribution in advance.
  4. In case of Annual Compliance, the govt challans will be born by the client.
  5. Audit fee is at actuals on annual basis.
